With total five-day winnings of $80,202, he has already booked his place for the upcoming Jeopardy Tournament of Champions.
Revell has been trying to appear on Jeopardy for decades. He finally got an opportunity to compete on the show.
Moreover, he went to Los Angeles for the filming of the show last month. Regarding his excitement about appearing on the show, he said,
I really appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm! I can’t wait to watch it, too, because I can barely remember it. Everything happens so quickly and the amount of time you actually are playing the game is like 15 minutes. It’s all a blur, so as much as I dislike watching myself on video, it will be fun to see.

Revell Carr has reached the age of 57 now. He was born James Revell Carr in the year 1968.
A native of Stonington, Connecticut, he spent his early life there with his family. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Hamilton College.
Furthermore, he earned a Master of Arts in Folklore from the University of Oregon. Later, he obtained his Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Inside Revell Carr’s Professional Life
Revell is an Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology and Musicology at the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts. He also serves as the director of the John Jacob Niles Center for American Music.
Prior to that, he was an Associate Professor of Ethnomusicology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he founded the UNCG Old Time Ensemble. He has also worked as an Interpretive Specialist Park Ranger at San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park and as an educator at Mystic Seaport Museum in Connecticut.

Carr served as the president of the Southeastern and Caribbean Chapter of the Society for Ethnomusicology from 2010 to 2011. He now sits in the chair of the Historical Ethnomusicology Section of the Society for Ethnomusicology.
In 2014, he published a book titled Hawaiian Music in Motion: Mariners, Missionaries, and Minstrels. The book was a co-recipient of the Society of Ethnomusicology’s Alan P. Merriam Prize for outstanding book in ethnomusicology for 2015.

Ansel currently serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Creative Writing at Berea College. She is also a poet and the author of Blue Yodel for which she won the Yale Younger Poets Prize.
