Previously, Trump had nominated Telle to serve as Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works in 2025. His nomination was confirmed by the United States Senate on August 2nd by a vote of 72-22.
Serving in the position since August 5, 2026, Telle is responsible for creating policy and supervising the United States Army Corps of Engineers Civil Works program.
