I’ve been watching it as far back as I can remember. It was kind of a family tradition, everyone in my house gathering on the couch to watch Wheel of Fortune and then Jeopardy!
Silverman tried for the show every year for the past decade. Finally, he passed the test in July 2024 and got a call from the showrunners five months later.

Silverman’s episode will air on 19 March 2025. As a new challenger, he will compete against the current three-day champion, Alex DeFrank, and an Economics professor from Brookline, Massachusetts, Ann Velenchik.
DeFrank, an inventory specialist from Brooklyn, New York, registered his third straight win on Tuesday’s episode. After three games, he now has a total of $75,600.
