Halima Aden is a Somali-American model who recently quit runway modeling over religious views. She is the first woman to wear a hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, where she was a semi-finalist.
After wearing a hijab in the Miss Minnesota USA pageant, Halima received national attention and was later signed to IMG Models.
She quit runway modeling because of her religious beliefs in November 2020.
She was born in a Kenyan refugee camp to Somali parents and moved to the United States at the age of six.
She has appeared on the cover of numerous publications including British Vogue, Vogue Arabia, and Allure.
