Dilano van’t Hoff was a Dutch racing driver who won the 2021 F4 Spanish Championship. Sadly, he passed away on 1 July 2023 after a fatal crash during the race.
Dilano died amidst the FRECA race at Spa-Francorchamps. The race was a support race for the 2023 24 Hours of Spa.

As there was heavy rain, Dilano was involved in a multi-car crash alongside Joshua Dufek, Adam Fitzgerald, Enzo Scionti, and Tim Tramnitz. The crash occurred at the exit of Radidillon, just before the Kemmel straight.
Initially, Dilano lost control while entering the Kemmel straight. He then got struck on his car’s side by Adam Fitzgerald. Since Dilano was stranded in the middle of the track, the high-speed collision took his life at the young age of 18.
Following his death, Dilano’s MP team released a statement. The statement read,
We are devastated at the loss of one of our brightest Dutch talents, who brought so much energy to our team during the years he raced with us.
Dilano has been a part of our racing family since his motorsport debut with MP back in 2021. We offer our sincere condolences to Dilano’s family and his loved ones, and are in full support of them and our team members who have lost not only a driver but a friend as well.

Dilano’s unpleasant death brought back some sad memories as Anthoine Hubert was killed in a multiple-car crash in an F2 race on the same section of the track in 2019. Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll has called for changes to be made to the Belgian Circuit immediately.
