Emma Saltzberg is an activist who serves as a Co-Founder of IfNotNow. She is also a three-time Jeopardy! champion.
Emma previously appeared on America’s longest-running quiz game show Jeopardy! in its 38th season in 2022. She had a hat trick of wins before leaving home with a total purse of $54,199 (+ $2,000).

After managing a three-day winning streak, Emma decided to use her winnings to save for an apartment in Brooklyn. Besides, she also wanted to save some amount to buy an art.

Emma was born in 1990 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. She grew up on the Main Line outside Philadelphia. Emma is now 33 years of age.
Talking about her parents, Emma was raised in an educated family. Her family encouraged her to read and her father was trained as a scientist. As a result, Emma used to ask him questions about how things worked and he would give her a scientific explanation.
Emma’s parents have deep roots in Philadelphia. They were not that thrilled when Emma represented Brooklyn when she made her debut on Jeopardy! in 2022.
For her education, Emma went to Hebrew school at a synagogue called Beth Am Israel through 10th grade. She then attended Amherst College where she became the Vice President of Amherst College Hillel.

In November 2020, my fiancé and I were watching the old “Jeopardy!” episodes on Netflix, and I just kept getting things right and quickly and he said, you know, you should take the test. He didn’t stop bugging me for several days until I took the test. I got the invitation to a group audition on Zoom in June. And then in August they called me and they asked me to come at the end of September.
Emma’s soon-to-be husband will be cheering for her more when she competes in the semifinals of the Jeopardy! Champions Wildcard tournament on 13 December 2023.
