Dana is herself a prominent journalist, screenwriter, and author.

On the occasion of their second wedding anniversary on 4 September 2024, Dana shared the couple’s wedding picture and captioned it,
“2 years ❤️ and so much more to come. my whole heart @iankarmel”
Meanwhile, Ian also expressed how lucky he feels marrying Dana by sharing a sweet Instagram post on the same day. His caption read,
“Two years of marriage and I still can’t believe how lucky I am. Everything good is better with you. Everything bad is better with you. Every day is a good day because it ends with our heads hitting pillows in the same bed. Here’s to at least two more years.”

Ian, the host of the All Fantasy Everything podcast, had invited Dana, the host of the Noble Blood podcast for a chit-chat in 2020.

Before sitting together in the podcast, both Dana and Ian were following each other on X.
As soon as they met, Dana was instantly charmed by Ian’s personality. They soon increased their interaction and eventually fell in love.

It was one year after dating when Ian and Dana went on their first official date in July 2021.
As the pair began their relationship during the COVID-19 pandemic, their dates were often quite limited.

While going out was a big No in that time frame, the couple stayed in touch with each other via texting and chatting on the phone.
Finally, on their first official date, Ian took Dana for a dinner-and-a-movie-style date where they watched Dana’s favorite movie, You’ve Got Mail in their private theatre.
After that movie, the couple had dinner at République followed by an ice cream at their favorite spot.
Ian then proposed to Dana over ice cream with a delicate three-stone engagement ring.
Schwartz, surprised and ecstatic by the moment, had no hesitation in saying Yes.
