Green is 45 years old as of 2025. He was born Micah J. Green in 1979.
Green’s upbringing came in College Station, Texas, United States. He was raised by his American parents with a white ethnic background.
Regarding his education, Green earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2002. He then received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2007.
Green also obtained a minor in Christian History from Harvard Divinity School.

Green serves as a professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. After serving there as an associate professor from July 2014 to May 2020, he started the position as a senior professor in May 2020.
