Sharon Bishop is a high school Spanish teacher hailing from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She is a new contestant to appear on the last week of the popular quiz game show, Jeopardy!, this season.

In the new Jeopardy episode, she will seek a victory against the returning champion Lucas Partridge, a School Counselor from Las Vegas, Nevada. Her other competitor will be Monika Chavez, a career education librarian from Alhambra, California.

Lucas is now a two-day Jeopardy champion who secured his second straight win on the 27 June episode. There, he led in all the rounds and even gave the final answer correctly. Likewise, he added $22,100 on the episode which made his total two-day winnings $42,200.

On the other hand, Bishop is thrilled to be part of the longest-running quiz game show. She has been at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culvert City, California for the taping of the show earlier.

Moreover, she said that she is excited about this whole week of shows, even though she knows what’s going to happen. She will mark her first appearance on the show in the new episode which airs on Friday, 28 July 2023.

Well, Jeopardy is in its 39th season of syndication which has been airing since 1984. It is now hosted by Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik after the death of veteran host Alex Trebek in 2020.

There, contestants are given general knowledge clues in the form of answers and they must identify the person, place, thing, or idea that the clue describes, phrasing each response in the form of a question.
