Robert Farley was popular as the father of an American football cornerback, Caleb Farley. His son, Caleb plays in the National Football League (NFL) for the Tennessee Titans.

Sadly, Robert was killed on Monday, 21 August 2023 in an apparent house explosion in North Carolina. The blast occurred at the home in Mooresville just before midnight.

While the explosion killed Robert, it also left Caleb’s family friend Christian Rogers injured. When first responders arrived at the multimillion-dollar house, they found Christian leaving the house which was burning in fire.

Christian was immediately taken to Atrium Main in Charlotte with non-life-threatening injuries. In the meantime, Robert’s body was found at around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the wreckage.

The 6,391 square feet house was fully destroyed by the explosion. Moreover, several vehicles were wrecked which caused massive loss.

Following the incident, authorities mentioned at a news conference on Tuesday afternoon that an investigation to find the cause of the explosion is going on. They are looking into a natural gas issue as an odor of gas was reported in the area.
