As of now, he ranks world no.202nd in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). Moreover, he was ranked no. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking in June 2025.
Koivun earned his PGA Tour card via PGA Tour University Accelerated but chose to defer his membership for another college golf season. He clinched the necessary 20 points by finishing T4 in stroke play at the NCAA Championship.
Likewise, he made his PGA Tour debut at the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday in June 2024. He is now competing in the Procore Championship, sitting at -15, one stroke off the lead before the final round.
Collegiately, he is now playing at Auburn University and had one of the best seasons in collegiate golf history as a freshman. He won the 2024 SEC Championship and was runner-up at the NCAA Division I Men’s Individual Championship.
Furthermore, he clinched all four major collegiate awards in the same season: the Haskins Award, Jack Nicklaus Award, Ben Hogan Award, and Phil Mickelson Award.
