B.J. Callaghan is an American soccer coach from Ventnor City, New Jersey, United States. He is the newly appointed interim head coach of the United States men’s national team.
Callaghan was announced as the new USMNT interim coach on 30 May 2023 by U.S. Soccer. He was appointed to the new role following the departure of former interim manager, Anthony Hudson.

Callaghan was previously involved with the USMNT as their assistant coach. As Anthony had to leave the team for a managerial role in the Middle East, Callaghan got this big responsibility.
It has been more than four years since Callaghan joined the U.S. men’s national team. He joined the squad as an assistant coach and strategy analyst back in January 2019.
Initially, Callaghan was taken under Gregg Berhalter, the former head coach of USMNT. After Gregg’s contract expired at the end of 2022, Callaghan stayed with the program as Anthony was promoted from assistant coach to interim head coach.
