Campbell earned the PGA Tour card for the first time in 2017 but ended up losing his Tour card as he finished 180th in the FedEx Cup standings. Likewise, he finished seventh in the Korn Ferry Tour standings and earned back his PGA Tour card for the 2025 season.

After turning professional in 2015, he made his debut at the Nova Scotia Open on the Web.com Tour. His best finish was a playoff defeat at the 2024 Astara Golf Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Collegiately, he played at the University of Illinois from 2011 to 2015. There, he was named PING All-Region and Spring Academic All-Big Ten in 2015. He also won the 2015 NCAA Noblesville Regional and the 2014 NCAA Sugar Grove Regional.
As an amateur, he won the 2010 ClubCorp Mission Hill Desert Junior and The Macdonald Cup in 2013. Similarly, he finished tied for 27th and was the low amateur at the 2015 U.S. Open.
