Charles Johnson was an American professional football player who played in the NFL from 1994 to 2002. He played as a wide receiver for nine seasons with the teams like Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills.

Following his retirement, Charles was working as an assistant athletic director at Heritage High School in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Sadly, he passed away on 17 July 2022, at the age of 50.

Reportedly, police found his body in a hotel room on Sunday during a welfare check at Hampton Inn and Suites. As per the preliminary investigations, there were no signs of foul play.

The University of Colorado announced Charles’ death three days later on Wednesday, 20 July 2022. The actual cause of Charles’ death still remains confined.
