Moreover, he has a career-best ranking of no. 473. As an amateur, he was ranked 6th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. During that time, he competed in three U.S. Opens and two Walker Cups.
In 2018, he won the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball alongside partner Garrett Barber. Likewise, he won the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the best amateur golfer in the world in 2019. He played collegiate golf at the University of Texas and ended his career after winning the 2022 NCAA Division I Championship.
