Tom was born to South Korean parents Kim Chang-ik and Kwanjoo Kim on 21 June 2002 in Seoul, South Korea. His real name is Kim Joo-hyung.
The 6-foot comes from a golf family background. His father Chang-Ik was a professional golfer who played on the Buy.com Tour and is now a golf coach. He has an older brother named Jaewook Kim.
Just after his birth, his family moved to China for a few years and later went to Australia. Moreover, he spent some years with his family in the Philippines. Again, he moved with his family to Thailand where he played professionally until the age of 16.
