Courtney Shirene Khondabi was born on August 29, 1988, in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. She is the middle of three daughters of Don Bishop and Cille Khondabi. She grew up with her sisters, Meredith and Carley in Greenwood, South Carolina.
Khondabi attended Greenwood Christian School and later went to Emerald High School in Greenwood. After graduating in 2007, she attended the University of South Carolina. There, she graduated in 2011, with a degree in broadcast journalism and minor in sports and entertainment management.

Courtney began her career as a television news reporter from WAGT-TV in Atlanta, Georgia. She then worked as a morning anchor at a CBS-affiliated WOWK-TV in Charleston, West Virginia from 2013 to 2014.
Khondabi worked as a traffic anchor and morning news host for the local ABC and FOX affiliates in Columbus, Ohio until March 2017. She joined QVC in April 2017, where she now works as an on-air host. Besides, she appears on QVC2 Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
