1. David Hefner’s Father is a Famed American Publisher Hugh Hefner

Born Hugh Marston Hefner on 9 April 1926, David’s father build a legacy as one of the most successful American magazine publishers. He was globally known as the founder and editor-in-chief of the famous Playboy magazine.

Hugh started the controversial and widely popular magazine back in 1953. The magazine’s first issue sold over 50,000 copies as it featured the late American actress, Marilyn Monroe, in a nude calendar shoot.

Eventually, Hefner extended the Playboy brand and created a world network of Playboy Clubs. Besides, the political activist also resided in luxury mansions where he had wild parties with his Playboy playmates.

By the time Hugh became a publishing icon, he had a mammoth net worth of $50 million. He died at his Playboy Mansion on 27 September 2017 at the age of 91. Hugh had sepsis from an E. coli infection which took his life.

Hugh is now interred at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles in the crypt beside actress Marilyn Monroe.
