Erika Niemi is an aspiring actuary from Flagstaff, Arizona. Moreover, she is popular as a contestant in the 43rd season of America’s popular trivia game show, Jeopardy!
Niemi is set to make her Jeopardy! debut on October 5, 2026. She shared the exciting news on her LinkedIn profile, writing,
Big news! I achieved a long-time dream recently: I’m going to be on Jeopardy!
My episode will air Monday, October 5th.
It was a bit surreal actually standing on the stage behind the podium after seeing it so many times. Yelling out answers at home is one thing, but it’s another to do it all in front of a real audience, and to consider buzzer timing, wagering, and board strategy. But while it was a lot to take in, it’s definitely one of the most fun things I’ve had the chance to do.
If you’d like to tune in and see how everything unfolded, you can find your local station and air time at jeopardy.com/watch/. Hulu will also have the episode available to stream the next day.
Thanks to anyone who watches, and to everyone who’s supported me on this journey. In particular, I really appreciate the amazing production crew who helped to make it such an unforgettable experience!
On Monday, Niemi will face the returning two-day champion, Rian Robertson. The software developer from Ottawa, Ontario, sits handsomely with a two-day winning total of $25,901.
Apart from Robertson, Niemi will share the stage with another challenger, Jason Vincze. He is a bar owner from New York, New York.
Can Niemi stop Robertson from making it three wins in a row? Don’t forget to watch the new episode of Jeopardy!
