Juan Ibarra began working as a miner at a gold and copper mine in Alaska after leaving his construction and plumbing business.
It was the year 2015 when Juan started appearing on Discovery Channel’s reality show Gold Rush. He has appeared in more than 50 episodes until 2021.

Currently, he appears on its spin-off series Gold Rush: Mine Rescue with Freddy & Juan on Discovery. The show premiered in 2021 and is now in its fourth season.
The show features Juan and another gold recovery expert Freddy Dodge who help struggling mine owners. If they can increase the owner’s weekly gold haul, they get a cut of the profits. If they fail, they don’t charge a dime.

Meet Juan Ibarra’s Wife Andrea Ibarra
Outside mining, Juan has been happily married to his lovely wife Andrea Ibarra Pena.
As their actual wedding date is missing from the internet sources, they seem to have been together for more than a decade.
Andrea is now carrying out a full-time job as a mother and also assisting him with his business. She along with her husband Juan has been involved in building custom homes and helped people build their dream homes.
It was none other than Andrea’s brother Aaron Pena, who suggested Juan appear on Gold Rush in 2015. Moreover, his wife and his brother-in-law even submitted the application for the new mechanic vacancy posted by the show.
Fast forward to 2024, Juan is now the star of the show and has gained an enormous fan following. It is evinced by his Facebook followers and the number has already reached more than 90k.

Juan and his soulmate are leading a family life as parents of four children. They have two daughters Addison Marie and Juanito Ibarra. and two sons named Aiden Ibarra. FreddyTravis Ibarra.
The eldest one Addison was born on 8 November 2015. Likewise, they welcomed their youngest child Freddy Travis on August 31, 2021, in Reno, Nevada. Freddy is named after Juan’s fellow Gold Rush miner Freddy Dodge and brother-in-law Travis.

Juan Ibarra Was Into Plumbing Business Before Joining Gold Rush
Juan was born on 2nd April 1983 in Reno, Nevada. He is the only son of five children of his parents and has four daughters.
The miner’s father Juan Ibarra Sr. was in the plumbing business and following the footsteps of his father, he initially decided to pursue a career in plumbing.

A 2001 graduate of Hug High School, he began working with his father at Ibarra Plumbing in 2004. It was later changed to the name Ibarra Industries because of an increase in operations.
