Juan Joya Borja shot to fame in 2007 when he appeared on a variety show and struggled to tell an anecdote because he laughed so much.

He described an incident when he worked as a kitchen porter to Jesús Quintero on the show El Vagamundo interrupting the story with his trademark laugh.

Juan was remarkably known as “The Spanish Laughing Guy.” Sadly, he is no more with us.

Juan Joya Bio; Family & Net Worth

Juan Joya was born on April 5, 1956, in Seville, Spain.  He died at the age of 65 years.

The comedian had not shared information regarding his family. Thus, it is not known about his married life and wife.

Juan had a number of jobs throughout his life, including cooking and unloading sacks of cement.

After gaining popularity on TV shows, he went to Punta Umbría, Huelva, to say jokes in one of the bars most popular with foreigners and tourists.


Some of Juan’s show include;: El Vagamundo, Canal 2 Andalucía ,Ratones Coloraos, Canal Sur Televisión,: El loco de la colina, La1 and El Gatopardo, Canal Sur.

Being a successful comedian, Borja gained fame all over the world. His exact net worth is not published yet.

His Cause Of Death

Juan’s cause of death is vascular disease.

He had a vascular problem due to which he underwent an intervention leading to the amputation of a leg.

He was admitted to the Hospital de la Caridad in Seville, Spain.

On 28 April 2021, Joya was transferred from the Hospital de la Caridad to the Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío after a sudden relapse of his illness.

Joya passed away from myocardial infarction later that afternoon at the age of 65.

The lifeless body of ‘El Risitas’ will be in the Virgen del Rocío Hospital until his funeral this Friday at 10 in the morning. The Brotherhood of Charity will take care of the burial.
