Before joining the station in 2022, she was a morning anchor at KTNV-TV in Las Vegas. She also appeared as a midday main anchor while working there for three years.
While working there, she was awarded a regional Emmy for her role in covering the Black Lives Matter protests and also earned an Emmy as an Anchor for Best Morning Show. She also received 5 additional Regional Emmy nominations, including 4x for Best Anchor Talent, Outstanding Achievement for Morning Show San Diego, and Veteran’s Voice, which was a 30-minute military special honoring local servicemen and women.

Astrinos has worked for three years as a reporter and anchor at KGTV-TV in San Diego. Likewise, she was a morning reporter and substitute anchor at KBAK-TV and KBFX-TV in Bakersfield, California.
Earlier, she was a traffic reporter/personality at top radio stations including On-air with Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIISFM, The Woody Show on ALT 98.7, and KFI AM 640. She also served as the afternoon traffic reporter for ABC7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles.
Kalyna has also covered major entertainment events including the Grammy Awards, the Dodgers playoffs, LA Auto Show, and more.
