Vilips won his first PGA Tour event in just his fourth PGA Tour start. The rookie golfer claimed the Puerto Rico Open, which was played at Grand Reserve Golf Club from 6th to 9th March 2025.

In the close game, Vilips edged past the second-placed Danish professional golfer, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen. Likewise, American professional golfer, Joseph Bramlett finished in the third position in the tournament.
With the win, Vilips took home a winning total of $4,000,000. Vilips has also secured his playing card for the next two seasons and he will tee it up in next week’s Players Championship in Florida.
Vilips played 10 events on the Korn Ferry Tour after joining the Tour in 2024. Likewise, he participated in two competitions on the PGA Tour Americas.
