Katie Hobbs is an American politician who currently serves as the secretary of the State of Arizona. She recently won the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election which took place on 8 November 2022.
Katie was able to narrowly defeat Republican nominee Kari Lake for the position. The Associated Press had projected Katie as the winner on 14 November 2022. With the win, she is set to become Arizona’s fifth female governor.

She had previously announced her candidacy for governor in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election back in October 2020. She then defeated Marco A. Lopez Jr. in the Democratic primary election to become the nominee.
