Kayla Pfeiffer is a popular chef and a leading voice in the evolution of contemporary Florida dining.
Currently, she runs a sandwich shop named Thank You Kindly in Naples, Florida, and a Bicyclette Cookshop. Recently, she opened a Heyday Cookshop, a chef-residency restaurant with a hi-fi listening room and a natural wine and vermouth program, conceived as a cultural hub for chefs, farmers, and guests.
Pfeiffer began her career in the culinary business as a hostess at the age of 14. After graduating from college, she headed to New York City. There she worked under some influential chefs such as Andrew Carmellini (Locanda Verde, Bar Primi, The Dutch & Lafayette), Terrance Brennan (Picholine), and Brad Farmiere (Saxon and Parole).

Later, she began to work as a sous chef at The French Brasserie. She has worked through all the positions in the kitchen during her journey towards the Executive Sous Chef position.
Kayla also competed in an episode of Food Network’s Chopped, where she bested three competitors and even gave a couple of shout-outs to Naples. In 2025, she was among the semifinalists for the Emerging Chef award from the James Beard Foundation.
