Long Nguyen Wiki: Meet The New Jeopardy Contestant

Long Nguyen is a retired engineer from Las Vegas, Nevada. He will appear as a contestant in the 39th season of the longest-running quiz show, Jeopardy!


On the new episode, he will compete with two other contestants: a returning champion Stephen Webb and Jessica Ashooh, a policy director from San Francisco, California.

Stephen is a five-day champion with total winnings of $139,281. He also won Monday’s episode with a total score of $38,400.

Nguyen is excited to face the two contestants and become a new champion on the popular quiz game show. The new episode will air on 14 March 2023 on Tuesday.

Nguyen seems to be in his 40s when it comes to his age. He was born in the 1970s in the United States and has American nationality.

Nevertheless, he has not shared details about his family and upbringing. It is known that he has Asian heritage from his family side.  His family hails from Vietnam.


Long graduated from Georgia Tech in the year 1998. He was interested in trivia from an early age. As per his Facebook post, he took the World Quizzing Championships test in 2021 and got a 121 out of 210, being the 14th best in the USA.

As per wiki, he worked as an engineer at a multinational chemical company named Dow. Moreover, he worked as a gopher at Wichita Park & Recreation in Wichita, Kansas. 

Long also worked as a Research Assistant at Georgia Tech School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering.
