In 2023, he made his debut at the Monte-Carlo Masters after defeating fourth-seed Constant Lestienne and eleventh-seed Oscar Otte in the qualifying competition. He received a wildcard for the main draw at the Italian Open, where he lost to Belgian David Goffin in the first round.

Furthermore, he received a wildcard for the main draw of the 2023 European Open. He qualified for the 2023 Next Generation ATP Finals in November 2023.

As a junior, Luca achieved a career-best ITF Junior Ranking of no. 17 on 4 January 2021. He reached the third round at the Roland Garros Junior Championships and the second round at the Australian Open Junior Championships in 2020.

Nardi was born to Italian parents on 6 August 2003 in Pesaro in the Marche region in western central Italy. His father is Dario Nardi and his mother is Raffaela Nardi.

Dario holds a job as a notary in a studio in the city. His father is a native of Napoli and calls himself half-Neapolitan. Moreover, he is also a football fan and supports Napoli.

Luca is the youngest in the family and has a seven years older brother named Niccolo Nardi and six years older sister named Julia Nardi. His brother is a graphic designer and his sister is studying to be a notary.
