Lynette Romero is an award-winning American journalist currently serving at KTLA channel 5.
Based in Los Angeles, she appears as a reporter and anchor for the KTLA 5 Morning News. She has been serving in the news station for more than two decades.

Romero joined the KTLA 5 as a general assignment reporter in 1999. In her first year, she won the prestigious Golden Mike Award from the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California for producing and reporting the KTLA News series “Public Schools: Working the System.”
Moreover, she served as co-anchor for “KTLA Prime News” from 2000 to 2004. During that time, she won second Golden Mike for the best 60-minute evening newscast.
In 2006, she won a local Emmy and Golden Mike Award for her work on the show “Access L.A. – The Latino Experience.” Similarly, she received a local Emmy as reporter/producer for the five-part series “From Farm to Fork.”
Before KTLA, Lynette worked as an anchor and reporter for an NBC-affiliated KUSA-TV in Denver for 10 years. Furthermore, she reported for a year at KVUE-TV, KUSA-TV’s sister station in Austin, Texas.
