Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC Today’s host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since 1 February 2026. She was last seen at her home in Tucson, Arizona, on 31 January 2026.
After having an outing, Guthrie was dropped off at her home in the Catalina Foothills by her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, at around 9:30 pm on Saturday. However, that was the last time Guthrie was spotted in her home.

Guthrie was supposed to attend a scheduled Church service the next day, on Sunday. However, as she was unable to arrive at the venue, a member of the Church contacted her family to know about Guthrie’s well-being.
As soon as her relatives rushed to her house, they found no sign of Guthrie. The family then reported the missing case to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
After that, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department deployed search-and-rescue teams, including K-9 units, drones, and aerial resources, in the search operation. Guthrie’s daughter, Savannah, even left her NBC News duties to assist in the search operation.
Based on the reports from Sheriff Chris Nanos, evidence of foul play has been found at Guthrie’s home. The FBI has also been involved in the case with a likely suspicion of abduction.
