Goodwin was raised as a single child by his parents, Jeff Goodwin and Lisa Goodwin. His father, Jeff is a retired university professor.
Noah started playing golf at an early age, thanks to his impeccable bond with his dad. He used to live some two minutes away from the Oakmont Country Club in Corinth. He and his father used to visit the place quite regularly where Noah started honing his golf skills.
Meanwhile, Noah was also a prominent tae kwon do player as a child and became a black belt at age 7. He even played tee ball for a short period of time and was into soccer as well. Nonetheless, golf was always his ultimate sport.
However, since Noah was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism at the age of 9, it somewhat affected his dream of becoming a professional golfer. As he had to undergo hormonal injections to obtain a normal height till the age of 17, his condition had a negative impact on his skillset as a golfer.
Thankfully, Noah’s parents were always there to help him reach his potential.

Noah has defied his medical conditions to become one of the most decorated amateur golfers in the Texas area. He played in the U.S. Amateur Championship twice in 2016 and 2017.
Goodwin was named the 2016 AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year. He was again honored with the award in 2017 making him only the fifth player to win the award in consecutive years.
Noah also won the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in 2017. Likewise, he won the CB&I – Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods in 2017.
During his collegiate career, Noah was named AAC Golfer of the Year in 2020-21. Likewise, he also won the 2021 NCAA Stillwater Regional.
Goodwin then entered the 2021 NCAA Championship as the nation’s top-ranked golfer by Golfweek. At Southern Methodist University, he holds the record for a single-season stroke average of 70.00 in 2020-21.
