Sharing his experience of featuring in the game show, which he watched for so many years, Powers said,
It was just so surreal, finally getting to see the stage after watching ‘Jeopardy!’ for so many years. It was great to have that experience, super special to meet Ken Jennings … and just be in that atmosphere with all these other great quiz players and trivia nerds.
Furthermore, he credited the education that helped him prepare for the challenge, saying,
I would totally credit Yorktown and Arlington Public Schools and all the great educators I had throughout elementary school and high school. The classes I took there helped foster curiosity, and just, they taught me so much and prepared me for ‘Jeopardy!
In the episode airing on Tuesday, Powers will challenge the returning one-day champion, Noah Hamilton. The marketing manager from Saint Paul, Minnesota, added $9,990 to his winning purse following his win on Monday.
Similarly, Powers will be joined on the stage by former actress and now chef from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Monterey Salka.
