Ron Schara is an American TV personality and writer. He has been telling outdoor stories for over four decades, bringing to life the joys of nature watching, fishing, hunting, and camping.
As of now, he serves as a founder and executive producer of Ron Schara Production. The Minnesota-based production company produces videos telling the story of nature.

In 1995 he launched the show, Minnesota Bound alongside his black lab sidekick, Raven. His storytelling is comprised of his childhood excursions along the Mississippi River as well as later and numerous encounters with wildlife from Minnesota to Manitoba and beyond. Similarly, he also launched his TV show, The Flush in 2012.
Prior to that, Schara was an award-winning outdoor columnist for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. After writing a series of outdoor stories, he brainstormed his idea to transform it into a television program.
The talented personality is regarded as America’s premier outdoor storyteller. He has created outdoor television programs for numerous television stations such as ESPN, Versus Network, Outdoor Channel, and, Bally Sports Networks.
A recipient of nine Emmy awards, Schara is an author of four books. He published a book named Ron Schara’s Minnesota: Mostly True Tales of a Life Outdoors in 2021.

Ron Schara Wiki & Age: How Old is He?
Schara has reached the age of 81 now. He was born Ronald L Schara in 1942 and celebrates his birthday on the 23rd of April.
The storyteller spent his early life with his family in northeast Iowa’s rugged bluff country. His childhood was filled with excursions along the Mississippi River and had numerous encounters with wildlife from Minnesota to Manitoba and beyond.

Ron attended Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and graduated with a degree in journalism and fish and wildlife biology in 1966. After graduation, he held his first job as an editor of the Conservation Digest magazine at the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks Department.

Schara has been married for several decades to his wife Denise Schara. However, not much is known about his wife and their wedding. They celebrate their wedding anniversary on the 28th of June every year.

Denise pursued her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota. Likewise, she went to the Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota – Winona to pursue her master’s degree.
Ron’s wife also sat on the judging panel at the Miss North Dakota 2009. She has been holding the hands of her husband as a supportive wife over the years.
As of now, he resides with his longtime wife in Ramsey, Minnesota.

Together, Ron and his wife share two children from their marital relationship. They have two daughters named Simone Schara and Lauren Schara.
