In fact, Sam used to watch every episode of Jeopardy! with his father as a kid. He then took the test about 20 years ago and didn’t hear back from the team.
Eventually, Sam opted for the online test during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was then invited for a second round over Zoom and later passed through the mock game with other hopeful contestants.
Finally, after two years of his final test, Sam was called by the Jeopardy! team to shoot a new episode. He will share the podium with two more contestants on Wednesday.
In the upcoming episode, Neuman will face the returning two-time champion, Aiden Orzech. Aiden, a teacher from Canada has a sum of $49,599 from his two consecutive victories.
Likewise, Sam will be up against an attorney from Carmel, California, Chris Lindsay.

Sam is a resident of New York, New York, United States. He started living in New York in 2003.
He was born Samuel Douglas Neuman in Niles, Ohio in 1981. Sam is 43 years of age and he blows out his birthday candles in the month of June every year.
Talking about his family, Sam was raised by his parents, Douglas Neuman and Billie Neuman. His father, Douglas served as an attorney.
Sam used to watch every single episode of Jeopardy! with his dad. Sadly, Douglas passed away in 2023.
Regarding his education, Neuman graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1999. He then earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.
