Sophie Chang is an American tennis player who plays both singles and doubles events. She now ranks world no. 84 in the WTA singles ranking.
Furthermore, she achieved a career-high WTA singles ranking of no.59 on 26 September 2022. She ranks no. 299 in the WTA singles ranking and achieved a career-high ranking of no. 217 on 9 January 2023.
Chang has won 20 doubles titles and three singles titles in the ITF Circuit. Out of them, she won five doubles titles with American partner Alexandra Mueller. Her most recent doubles title was with Ashley Lahey at the ITF Dallas in July 2023.

After a year of turning professional, she made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2017 Washington Open. There, she competed in the doubles draw with Alexandra Mueller. She made her WTA Tour singles match debut at the 2022 Charleston Open.
In July 2022, she won her first and only doubles title on the WTA Tour at the 2022 Hamburg European Open. Partnering with Angela Kuliko, the duo defeated Japanese Miyu Kato and Indonesian Aldila Sutjiadi in the final.

Chang won the Middle States sectional qualifier to advance to the US Open National Playoffs Championships in 2016. She even won the tournament and became eligible to compete in the US Open Qualifying Tournament. As a junior, she achieved a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of no. 442 on 14 April 2014.
