Takahiro Hataji is a professional Japanese golfer who now competes on the Japan Golf Tour. Founded in 1973, it offered the third-highest annual prize fund out of the regular men’s professional tours after the PGA Tour and the European Tour.

Eventually, he became the first player from Japan to win the tournament by narrowly beating Australia’s Scott Hend by a shot. Only two Japanese golfers have finished as runner-up in the 103 editions of the tournament, including Tomoyo Ikemura last year.

This year, he has won the Kansai Open Golf Championship and the Vantelin Tokai Classic.

In 2023, he had a best performance in the Kansai Open Golf Championship in Japan, where he finished runner-up. 

Since turning professional in 2015, his first outstanding performance was the Third-place finish at the Shigeo Nagashima Invitational SEGASAMMY Cup Golf Tournament in 2019.

Takahiro Hataji Early Life & Family

Takahiro Hataji was born on 30 June 1993. He has reached the age of 31 now.

The golfer was raised by his parents in Hiroshima, Japan. He started playing golf at the age of 10 when his father took him to a driving range. 

For education, he went to Mihara City Miyanoura Junior High School. There, he won the JAPAN JUNIOR GOLF ALL-STAR and the Chugoku Junior Golf Championship Rookie Tournament in 2008.
