Clark Fredericks is a sexual abuse survivor, author, and motivational speaker. He was sentenced in 2015 to five years in prison for the stabbing death of the man he accused of sexually abusing him.
According to him, his former Scoutmaster, Dennis Pegg, committed mental and sexual abuse towards him from the ages of 6 to 12. Pegg was a Sussex County sheriff’s officer, Boy Scout leader, and member of the local Kiwanis and the Audubon Society.
Moreover, Pegg also allegedly raped his best friend, Jeff, who committed suicide in 1983.

In June 2012, Clark ran into his abuser and went on to murder him later that day. He stabbed Pegg and slit his throat at the end.
Clark spent three years in the Sussex County Correctional Facility, and his charge was reduced to second-degree manslaughter. He then spent a year in Northern State Prison in Newark.
In 2017, he was released with massive support from not only the entire community but from people all over the world as his story made national headlines. He now remains an outspoken victim’s rights advocate.

What Is Clark Fredericks Doing Now?
After being released from prison, Fredericks became an advocate working on getting a new child abuse law enacted in New Jersey. He spearheaded a movement to change the Statute of Limitations Laws in his home State of New Jersey, which will allow victims of sexual abuse civil recourse beyond the previous 2-year window.
