Zachary Svajda is a young American professional tennis player. He began his professional career in 2019.

At the age of 15, he earned his first ATP World Tour ranking point, defeating Brazilian Joao Lucas Reis Da Silva at the 2018 Claremont Club Pro Classic as a local main-draw wild card.

Svajda earned a wild card into the main draw of the 2019 US Open after winning the USTA Boys 18s National Championship in August 2019. Eventually, he became the youngest player to play in the men’s US Open since Donald Young in 2005.

In the 2021 US Open, he defeated world No. 81 Marco Cecchinato to progress to the second round. However, he lost to Jannik Sinner in four tight sets.

Currently, he ranks World No. 391 in the ATP singles ranking as of January 2022.

Charlotte is currently studying at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Moreover, she is a graduate of Ramona High School.

Zachary and his girlfriend began dating in 2021.  He first shared Instagram pictures of enjoying himself with his girlfriend at Disneyland back in October 2021.

Svajda is the eldest son of parents Thomas Svajda and Anita Svajda. His father Tom is a tennis coach and professional at the United States Professional Tennis Association.

The player was coached by his father in the beginning. He has a younger brother named Trevor Svajda. Trevor is also a tennis player and his training partner.

Zachary’s family roots are also in the Czech Republic.

Zachary Svajda High School & College

Svajda did not attend high school. Instead, he and his brother were homeschooled by his parents.

Zachary decided to skip college after his  2019 US Open experience. Instead of playing college tennis, he wants to start his career as a professional.
