A Blackburn Rovers fan, he joined the Blackburn academy as a youth in 2010. Following his development, he penned his first two-and-a-half-year professional contract in February 2022.

Furthermore, his mother Helen has represented Blackburn and Darwen Schools at badminton and also won a Lancashire schools’ tennis doubles title.
