Eventually, she wanted to take a part in the show and she tried out for the 40th season. After a series of online tests and mock tests, Allison was able to film her Jeopardy! episode in early April 2024.
Sharing her experience of making her debut on Jeopardy!, Gross said,
You take a test and then you wait a long time and you may never hear (back), but I heard back (about) six months later saying that I passed the first round and they wanted me to come to a second round.
