Aly Raisman is a retired American gymnast who won three Olympic gold medals in her career. She called quit from the sport back in 2017, at the age of 23.

The 25-years-of-age athlete was born as Alexandra Rose Raisman on May 25, 1994, in Needham, Massachusetts, the United States. She is the oldest among the four children of her parents, Rick Raisman and Lynn (née Faber). Her mother, Lynn is a former high school gymnast. Aly’s siblings include her brother, Brett Raisman, and two sisters named Chloe Raisman and Madison Raisman.

For her education, she attended Needham High School and graduated from there in 2012. Later, she took gymnastics classes from Exxcel Gymnastics and Climbing and Brestyan’s American Gymnastics Club.

Aly began her gymnastic career in 2009 as she competed in the National Championship in August. Later at the 2012 London Olympics, Aly won three medals including two golds for team and floor exercise and one bronze for the balance beam. Later in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, she bagged another gold medal in a team competition.

Unfortunately, they decided to part ways from one another in August 2017.
