The young player earned a spot to compete in the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts. Similarly, he will play his first Masters tournament in April 2022.
Greaser finished second at the 2021 U.S. Amateur Championship at Oakmont Country Club. He was defeated by Michigan State’s James Piot in the 121st U.S. Amateur Championship.
Austin is currently in his third year at UNC. He has earned honorable mention All-America, All-ACC, All-East Region, and Academic All-ACC honors during his collegiate career.
Currently, he ranks No. 23 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. He had a career-best ranking of No. 21.
