Palicova made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2021 Prague Open, where she received a wildcard to the doubles tournament. Likewise, she made her tour-level debut in singles but needed to play in qualifying first.

As a junior, Barbora reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 21 on 3 January 2022. She won her one and only ITF Junior title at the ITF Gladbeck in Germany in August 2021, where she defeated Czech Kristyna Tomajkova in the final.
