Cam was raised as the middle child of his parents, Lou Collier and Melica Collier. His dad, Lou is an American former professional baseball utility player who played in MLB from 1997 to 2004. Besides, Lou also played in the Korean Baseball Organization.

Talking about his siblings, Cam has two sisters. His elder sister is Morgan Collier and his younger sister is named Keli Collier.
For his education, Cam joined Mount Paran Christian School in Kennesaw, Georgia. After that, he committed to playing college baseball at Louisville. Eventually, Cam enrolled at Chipola College in Marianna, Florida.
