Casey Mize is an American baseball player currently playing for the MLB team Detroit Tigers. He plays as a pitcher.

The Tigers selected him with the first overall pick in the 2018 MLB draft. After signing with the team, he began his professional career with the Gulf Coast Tigers of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League.
Afterward, Mize was promoted to the Lakeland Flying Tigers of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League. He also played with the Erie SeaWolves of the Class AA Eastern League in the 2019 season.
On August 19, 2020, he was promoted to the major leagues and made his MLB debut for the Tigers against the Chicago White Sox on the same day.
Casey played college baseball at Auburn University. Likewise, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
