Eliza Fletcher is a Tennessee-based school teacher as well as the granddaughter of a billionaire businessman. She has been in the news headlines after a possible abduction on Friday, 2 September 2022.
Eliza went missing on Friday morning since she went jogging. She was reportedly exercising around 4:30 in the morning in purple jogging shorts and a pink top. Suddenly, assailants in a dark SUV pulled up and violently forced her into the car.
The teacher was reported missing at around 7 a.m. and after some investigation, police officers found Eliza’s shattered cellphone and a water bottle. Her family has even offered a $50,000 reward for any information leading to her whereabouts.

Two days after the incident, Memphis Police Department charged a 38-year-old man in the involvement in Eliza’s abduction. Cleotha Abston has been taken into custody for aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence.
