Cyrus will make his Jeopardy! debut on Monday, 1 May 2023. He is among the two challengers looking eager to end the one-day winning streak of Friday’s champ, Kevin Belle.
Kevin, a trail planner from Silver Springs, Maryland managed to win $11,599 on Friday’s episode. He was able to defeat the former one-day champion. Eric Anderson, and a graduate student and museum worker from New York, Katherine Cohen.
Kevin scored the highest in the first round of Friday’s episode as he correctly answered 12 questions. At the end of round 1, he was at $6,800 while Eric was at $2,800, and Katherine was at $2,400.
During the Double Jeopardy round, Kevin was given tough competition by Katherine. However, he was still able to lead the game and ended the second round at $14,200 compared to Katherine’s $8,400 and Eric’s $1,200.
However, none of the players were able to correctly answer the final question in the Final Jeopardy round. Since Kevin risked a small amount, he came out victorious.
Cyrus will be eyeing to give tough competition to Kevin as he makes his Jeopardy! debut on Monday. However, he still has one more challenger to get past in the new episode.
Cyrus’ other competitor will be Maryhelen Shuman-Groh. Maryhelen is a retired university administrator from Clearwater, Florida.
