As a contestant on the show, he will face the previous episode’s champion Lynn Di Vito, a retired museum educator from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Joyce Sun, a retired lawyer from Bloomfield, New Jersey.

On Tuesday’s episode, Lynn ended the winning streak of 9-day champion Ben Chan, a philosophy professor at St. Norbert College from Green Bay, Wisconsin. He has total winnings of $254,600 and will appear on the upcoming Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions.
In the Final Jeopardy! round, he wagered $12,201 and finished in second place with a total score of $5199. Meanwhile, Di Vito ended up being the episode winner with a total score of 11,800.

Petersen can not hide his excitement about participating in the popular quiz game show. On his Facebook, he wrote,
Hello! If you’d like to see me test my accumulated knowledge on national TV, my episode of Jeopardy! will air on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
After a series of online tests and interviews, he finally became eligible to participate in the show. He traveled to Culver City, California at Sony Picture Studios for the filming of the show in March this year.
So, will Ed emerge as a new Jeopardy champion? He will make his debut on the show on Wednesday, 24 May 2023.
