Now, Joyce is gearing up to make her first reality television appearance with Jeopardy! She is a contestant on the 39th season of the show and will make her debut on 24 May 2023.

On Wednesday, Joyce will be up against the new returning champion, Lynn Di Vito, and a planning technician from Orlando, Florida, Ed Petersen. Lynn, a retired museum educator from Colorado Springs, Colorado shocked everyone with her latest victor.

Lynn was able to end the dominating winning streak of Ben Chan on Tuesday’s episode. She now sits handsomely with a one-day total of $11,800.

Joyce will fulfill her lifelong dream of appearing on Jeopardy! when she makes her debut on Wednesday. She started watching Jeopardy! in the late 1980s.

In one of her interviews, Joyce said,

Right away I was a big fan of the show and had fun watching it with my family, friends and classmates, and calling out the answers. Then there was a long period of about 25 years when I was working long hours as a lawyer and commuting to NYC on DeCamp and NJ Transit, and was never home in time to catch the show.

Joyce again started watching Jeopardy! after her retirement. Now, it will be interesting to see how well she can do on her game show debut.

Joyce J Sun was born in 1967 in Bloomfield, New Jersey, United States. She is now 56 years of age and she celebrates her birthday in the month of May every year.

Talking about her family, Joyce has never publicly spoken about her parents. However, as per the Wiki sources, she is related to Pao Sun, Lianchao Sun, Richard Sun, Peter Sin, Sovannmon Sun, and Derek Sun.

Eventually, Joyce worked as a Senior Associate at Georgoulis & Associates PLLC for 6 years from 2007 to December 2012. Her next job was as a Partner of Construction Law and Construction Litigation at Georgoulis PLLC; Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman, PC from January 2013 to March 2015.

Joyce’s last professional job before retirement was at Marco & Sitaras PLLC. She served there as a Senior Counsel of Construction Law and Construction Litigation from April 2015 to April 2019.

Is Joyce Sun Married?

Joyce is a married woman! However, she is yet to reveal the identity of her husband on the internet.

Back in one of her interviews, Joyce mentioned her husband. She said that she took the 50-question test for Jeopardy! after bragging rights with her husband.

But then I learned I had passed to the next stage, which was another 50-question test proctored by a show staff member over Zoom. And then, after that, I had a Zoom “game play audition” with several other candidates to have a mock game using pens as our buzzers.

Now, Joyce is all set to make her dream come true with her first-ever appearance on Jeopardy!
