Izac Carracher is an Australian volleyball. He alongside Mark Nicolaidis are selected as an Australian Olympic Beach Volleyball squad for Paris Olympics 2024.

Eventually, this is the first time Australia will have two men’s beach volleyball teams at an Olympics since the 2004 Summer Olympics. Furthermore, the duo is the second youngest male beach volleyball team to ever contest an Olympics, behind only the duo of Julien Prosser and Leo Zahner at Atlanta 1996.

Carracher and Nicolaidis first rose to the limelight at the Gold Coast Beach Pro Tour Futures event in 2022. The duo won gold in their first international tournament as a pair with a 21-11, 21-16 victory over Canadians Jake MacNeil and Alex Russell in the final. Likewise, the team placed top 10 at the Rome World Championships.

Izac Carracher Hails From Sydney, Australia
Carracher was born on 14 September 1999 in Sydney, Australia. He will turn 25 in September this year.
Standing at a height of 6 feet 6 inches, he began playing indoor volleyball, but his love of the surf was always going to draw him to the sand.

He holds experience playing the Australian Volleyball League with his hometown team, Sydney Warriors in 2016 and 2017. Additionally, he represented Australia at U17 and U19 levels.
After returning from the United States, he began competing on the beach, initially alongside Queenslander Marcus Ferguson.
Carracher Had A Brief Collegiate Stint At The University of Southern California
Carracher completed his high school at Sydney Grammar School, graduating in 2017. There, he also played high school volleyball and earned the 2017 All-Combined Independent Schools and the All-New South Wales honors.
The athlete then moved to the United States and enrolled at the University of Southern California on a Volleyball Scholarship. There, he spent his first year of tertiary study and played as an outside hitter for the USC Trojans for the 2018-19 season.

Izac returned to Sydney and switched to the University of Sydney. There, he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law degree in the year 2023. Moreover, he was awarded with the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Sporting and Academic Excellence by Sydney University Sports and Fitness in April 2022.

Izac was raised by his parents in Northern Beaches of New South Wales. His father Craig Carracher is the president of Volleyball Australia and a member of the Australian Olympic Committee.

Well, volleyball runs in Izac’s blood from his father as Craig has been an active participant in beach volleyball since the 1980s. He often competes on local, state, and national tours.
Carracher’s Girlfriend Is A Netball Player
Izac is one enjoying a blissful romantic life with his girlfriend Lauren Frew. The duo began their relationship in July 2021.

Lauren is a netball player who plays for the Australian professional netball team Adelaide Thunderbirds, joining in 2023. Similarly, she was a member of Matrics Netball club’s 2022 premiership side and the Southern Force who won gold at the Australian Netball Championships.
Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Adelaide, majoring in Accounting.
