Bartunkova has won two singles titles in the ITF Circuit. Her first title was at the ITF Santa Margherita de Pula in Italy where she defeated Swiss Ylena In-Albon in the final. 

Similarly, she has won six singles titles and five doubles titles in the ITF final. She has reached the Junior Grand Slam tournament finals twice; doubles in 2022 and singles and 2023.

In doubles, she and her Swiss partner Céline Naef were defeated by fellow Czechs Lucie Havlíčková and Sára Bejlek in the 2022 French Open. Furthermore, she ended up being a runner-up in the 2023 Wimbledon Championships singles junior event as she was defeated by American Clervie Ngounoue in the final.

Nikola made her first WTA Tour debut attempt at the 2021 İstanbul Cup in April 2021. There, she defeated Swiss Leonie Küng in the first round of qualifying but then lost to Russian Anastasia Gasanova.

Furthermore, she made her main-draw Tour level debut at the 2022 İstanbul Cup after getting a wildcard for the main draw. However, she was defeated in the round of 32 by another Russian Anastasia Potapova.

As of 11 September 2023, she ranks no. 22 in the ITF Junior Ranking. Similarly, she has a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of no. 8, achieved on 11 July 2022.

Born on 25 February 2006, Bartunkova has just reached the age of 17 now. She hails from Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.

Bartunkova was raised by her parents in Prague, Czech Republic. She comes from a tennis-loving family.

Both her parents played tennis and her father Pavel Bartunek is a tennis coach. Pavel holds over three decades of experience as a tennis coach and runs a tennis academy named Tennis School of Pavel Bartůňek. A former player of TK Union Teplice, he has participated in numerous national competitions.

The player’s father introduced her to golf at an early and provided a lot of guidance since her first day. She says that she could not be a tennis player without her family’s support.

Nikola is the youngest of two daughters of her parents. She is accompanied by a sister named Dominika Bartůňková who is seven years older than her.

Dominika is also a tennis player and was her tennis partner. She is a second-class tennis coach at her father’s tennis school. Moreover, she studied engineering at the Faculty of Operational Economics, CZU in Prague and now works as a marketing and communications specialist at an e-commerce store named
